How much wood could a
Open Arms woodchuck chuck?

This ministry, led by Denis Clay, has grown so much in the last few years, and it has become one of our absolute favorites! It’s an extension of what we already practice as a Love In Action team but since it has continued to grow, it can now stand on its own.

Each year we find a few people who are in need of assistance in handling their winter wood. Oftentimes, we are searching for vulnerable people meaning widows, sick, disabled, etc.

This ministry often starts in the fall and with as many Open Arms members as we can get to volunteer sometimes it takes only an hour to get in 6 cord of wood! We have so much fun hanging out with each other and getting to meet new people. We also get to pray with the family we are helping which is so encouraging. God is good and if we can help spread the gospel and show the love of Jesus to people in need, this is one of the best ways to do it.
